She understands the problems and pain oral and maxillofacial issues. She works with her patients to make a plan for healing and for prevention.
Julie loves working with children! She's volunteers in school programs to help dispel the fear around dentistry. She obtained her Doctor of Medicine in Dentistry degree from Washington State University's dental school. Her minor in Child Psychology gives her a unique insight into how to make dentistry a positive experience that will encourage your children to care for their teeth for life!
A care home oral health assessment involves a visual and verbal evaluation of a resident's mouth, including their lips, tongue, gums, and teeth, as well as their ability to manage their own oral care. This is recommended to be done upon admission and regularly afterwards to identify any issues, such as decay, infections, or poor hygiene, and to determine the level of support needed. The assessment helps in creating a personalised care plan to maintain the resident's oral health and to refer for further care as necessary. Oral health assessments do not include the provision of dental treatment, nor any private prescriptions which may be necessary.
